Be careful when you throw things over the fence

Whether you are delegating or providing feedback to your team, be careful when you do it. For example, ‘throwing something over the fence’ on a Friday afternoon can ruin someone’s weekend and in turn, this does not lead to high motivation and engagement.

I’m sure most of the time this just happens because a leader is clearing their own desk/inbox before the weekend but the knock on effect can be quite big on your team members. Try looking at it from their point of view, not just your own.
