Starting today I am introducing a new feature category to this site – Leadership Bite Size. This will be a series of tips and techniques for becoming an effective leader and will enable me to share with you small yet powerful ideas on a regular basis.

The first of these tips is to be positive. People are easily inspired by their leaders and a leader that exudes positivity will generally be very inspirational. You know the clichés; always look on the bright side of life, the glass is half full, there are no problems – only solutions and so on. Being positive is an important leadership behavior – if you are up, your people are more likely to be so.

That’s so true. It’s really important to be positive, negative leaders are just annoying and the efficency of work wont benefit from that. Thanks giving and smile can do a lot.

Keep an open mind when you are following your passion. There will be surprises and obstacles on your path. What impact they have is determined by you. You have the ability to choose if they are positive or negative. Be flexible. Be like bamboo.

positivity is very important for any leader…its hard to inspire others if you are not positive or inspired! i look forward to seeing the rest of your articles on leadership.
